Charles City Man Pleads Not Guilty In Crossbow Shooting

Charles City, Iowa – A Charles City man accused of shooting a crossbow pistol at another man during an argument is headed to trial.

19 year old Devin Hundley entered a written plea of not guilty last week. His trial is scheduled to begin on October 20.

Hundley was arrested in June. Investigators say he shot his then-roommate, Corbin Gast, after the two argued over their living situation. Police say Hundley was kicking Gast out of their residence, but Gast re-entered the building, and was shot in the chest while reaching for the crossbow that Hundley was allegedly pointing at him.

Gast was treated and released.
