New Hampton Welcomes New Middle School Principal

New Hampton, Iowa – The middle school in New Hampton began the new school year with a new principal. Matt Manson, originally from Tripoli, made the move to New Hampton this summer as the new middle school principal.

Manson said he and his wife, Christina, along with their two sons, were excited to move back to the area.

Christina Manson is also employed by the New Hampton School District as an at-risk teacher as well as a math teacher. Manson said the biggest challenges of the first two weeks of school have been getting to know the teachers and students, as well as the lay-out of the building.

Manson thanked the community for the support shown to the schools through the Kwik Star fundraising program.

Manson talked about his previous job experiences.

Manson said he is looking forward to the reward the students will receive from their great fundraising efforts prior to the school year.
