Louisiana Flood Relief Donation Efforts A Success

New Hampton, Iowa – The flood relief efforts to aid the state of Louisiana was a great success, according to area organizers of the effort.

Joe Holschlag of New Hampton gave a follow-up to the project.

Holschlag said it was ironic that northeast Iowans were so generous to flood relief efforts in Louisiana, only to experience our own flood devastation here in northeast Iowa.

Donations are being accepted for flood victims in Northeast Iowa. Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation is serving as the fiscal agent for Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties that were severely impacted by the northeast Iowa floods.

Monetary donations can be sent to the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, 507 West Water Street in Decorah.
