Lisa Fekete, 42, of Manly, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
A funeral service for Lisa Fekete will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City with Reverend Ruth Yeaton officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.
Family and friends will gather from 9:30 a.m. to the start of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Lisa Janeen Fekete, the daughter of David and Diana (Lampman) Chambers, was born April 19, 1974 in Charles City. She graduated from Charles City High School and went on to attend NIACC for two years where she received the education she needed to become a License Practical Nurse. Lisa loved being a nurse; first at Heritage Nursing Home in Mason City and most recently at Oakwood Nursing Home in Clear Lake. She was a caring person who had a way of connecting with the elderly and loved being a mother to her twin boys: Nathan and Nicholas. She also had a heart for animals.
In August of 2014 Lisa married Ron Fekete at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She enjoyed spending time at home, gardening, and watching a dramatic romance on TV or movie. Most important in Lisa’s life was her family and spending time with her boys.
Lisa is survived by her husband: Ron; sons: Nathan and Nicholas Kettwig of Mason City; step-children: Abby and Kyle Fekete of Winnebago, Illinois; brother: Matt (Jessica) Chambers of Mason City; niece and nephews: Mattie Chambers, Kody Jensen, Noah Demaris of Mason city and Dylan Filipo of Osage; numerous cousins, family and friends; and her dogs: Lexi and Sophie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents: Von and Gloria Chambers, and Randy and Anna Mae Lampman.
