A Volleyball On A Grunge Textured Background

With no local sports on the calendar last night, we begin today’s report with a look at what is on our area fall sports calendar tonight.  The Charles City Comet volleyball team will take part in a non-conference triangular meet tonight in Clear Lake.  The Comets will take on both the Lions and Mason City and come in with an overall record of 6-2.  Clear Lake is 3-4 this season and Mason City is 4-5.  First serve of the first match will be at 5pm.

The North Butler Bearcat volleyball team will host Osage tonight in a Top of Iowa Conference meeting.  Osage comes in at 3-0 overall and in conference play this season while the Bearcats are 3-6 overall and are 0-3 in conference action.  First serve from Allison is scheduled for 7:30.

The Rockford Warrior volleyball team will be at home tonight for a Top of Iowa Conference match-up against Mason City Newman.  Rockford enters tonight’s match with a record of 1-3 overall and the Warriors are 0-3 in the conference which is where Newman is in Top of Iowa Conference matches as well.  First serve is set for about 7:30.

The boys and girls cross country meet in Waverly originally scheduled for Tuesday of this week will take place tonight.  Charles City, Nashua-Plainfield, New Hampton and North Butler will be the area schools competing in this meet which is split up into individual grade levels.  The meet will begin with the ninth grade girls race at 4:50 and will conclude with the twelfth grade boys race at about 6:55.
