Big Celebration Coming Up For Lawler’s Homeland Energy Solutions

Lawler, Iowa – Homeland Energy Solutions in Lawler will celebrate its billionth gallon of ethanol produced locally.

Kevin Howes, Homeland Energy Solutions plant manager, talks about what Homeland Energy is all about.

Homeland Energy Solutions has recently reached a milestone with the production of its 1 billionth gallon of ethanol in seven years. Howes comments about the milestone.

Howes said Homeland Energy Solutions is owned privately with over 1,000 investors.

Howes said on average Homeland Energy Solutions grinds over 150 bushels of corn on a daily basis.

Howes said Homeland is one of the largest and most efficient dry-grind plants in the country. Homeland employs 48 full time employees residing in 10 counties across the state of Iowa. The plant has expanded in the last 7 ½ years of operation.

Homeland Energy Solutions will host an open house to celebrate the billionth gallon of ethanol milestone on Saturday, October 22nd from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with a grilled lunch, tours of the facility and kids activities.
