Minor Injuries In Two Vehicle Collision on Friday

Charles City, Iowa – A 2 vehicle collision in Charles City on Friday sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Charles City Police Department says a 2005 Nissan Altima, driven by 16 year old Dylan Parsons of Charles City was traveling north on Cedar Street near the intersection of 3rd Street when he failed to yield  to the right of way and struck a 2010 Buick Lucerne, driven by 76 year old Eugene Martin of Charles City.

The accident was reported at 9:21pm.

One person was transported to the hospital by private vehicle for minor injuries.

Parsons was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right of way. Estimated damages to both vehicles was around $12,000.
