Ruth A. Condon, 81, Osage

Funeral Announcement

Ruth A. Condon, age 81, of Osage, and formerly of New Haven, died Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Haven with Father Mark Murphy officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Ruth was born September 21, 1934, in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Meyer) Mayer.
She graduated from Riceville High School in 1952. Following graduation Ruth worked for Rath Packing Plant in Waterloo.

Ruth was united in marriage to John “Jack” Condon on June 19, 1954, in Riceville. They lived in Osage until 1959, then moved to New Haven. Ruth was a member St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Ruth enjoyed cooking, baking, family dice games, and most importantly family time.

Ruth is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren: Larry Condon (Karen Bessette) of Poteau, Oklahoma and children Trent (Tara) Condon daughter Ella, and Jewel Condon; Janet (Duane) Hemann of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and children Chris (Amber) Hemann children Carter and Emma; and Nate Hemann (Briana Sheehy) and son Jake; Greg (Diane) Condon of Osage and children Bethany Condon and Brett Condon; Cindy (Chuck) Pelleymounter of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin and children Alison (Jared) Weber daughter Isabel; and Andy (Martine) Pelleymounter. son Gabrial; sisters, Kathleen Hummel and Mary Ann Shane; sisters-in-law Marvel Mayer and Betty Condon; brothers-in-law Dick (Doris) Condon and Jerome (Martha) Condon; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John “Jack” Condon in 1999; six brothers, Charlie, Leonard, Marvin, Jackie, Donald, and Bill; sisters Joann and Gladys, and twin grandsons Justin and Jamie Condon.
