Fredericksburg, Iowa – A partnership with Trees Forever and Black Hills Energy to plant trees in Fredericksburg. The project is intended to help save energy, improve air quality and reduce storm water runoff.

The tree-planting project is possible through the statewide Power of Trees Forever organization , which is a partnership between the non-profit Trees Forever organization and Black Hills Energy.

Black Hills Energy adds hundreds of trees to schools, parks and neighborhoods through partnerships with local volunteers.

Fredericksburg was awarded a grant of $2,000 for the trees.

Organizers are looking for volunteers in Fredericksburg to help plant and care for the trees.  For more information contact Cindy Lantow at 563-237-5725.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
