Tim Kaine’s Wife, Anne Holton, Stopped By Charles City on Friday

Charles City, Iowa – Anne Holton – the wife Tim Kaine, who is the running mate with Hillary Clinton, stopped by the Floyd County Democratic headquarters on Friday.

Kaine has ties with Charles City high school graduate Dave Miles, who was Kaine’s law school roommate and they rode on RAGBRAI together twenty years ago.

Holton said the campaign was very happy with Clinton’s first debate and that her husband is busy preparing for his debate.

Holton talked about her work history, which she has put on hold during the campaign.

Holton said her one of her primary focuses of the campaign is to talk about education.

Kaine has worked with Hillary Clinton in various capacities prior to being selected as her running mate and Holton had this to say about what her husband is most excited about.

Holton said the race to the White House is going to be close and its going to come down to the grass roots effort.

Absentee voting is now being held at the Floyd County Courthouse. Located on the 2nd floor, the Floyd County auditor’s office is open from 8-4:30 Monday through Friday.
