Charles City Man Not Hurt In Crash; Three Others With Minor Injuries

Charles City, Iowa – A Charles City man was not injured in an accident that occurred last Thursday.

41 year old Kenneth Vickers of Charles City was driving a Ford Escape on Mallard Avenue in Cerro Gordo county when he was struck from behind by 19 year old Logan Wilcke of Clear Lake.

Vickers had slowed down to allow the vehicle in front of him to turn right on 250th Street, according to the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office.

Three passengers in Vicker’s vehicle were treated at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa for minor injuries.

Wilcke was cited for misdeanor failure to stop within an assured distance.
