New Hampton Man Wanted By Authorities Has Been Arrested

New Hampton, Iowa – Dustin DeVries of New Hampton, who had been sought by the Chickasaw County Sheriffs Office since August 16, was arrested Thursday night by the Mower County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota.

Warrants were issued in August for DeVries for theft in the 1st Degree, a Class C Felony, with a bond amount of $10,000 and for Probation Violation, another Class C Felony.

There is a “No Bond Hold” on the warrant for probation violation.

DeVries was being held in the Mower County jail in Austin, Minnesota on another arrest warrant from the State of Minnesota.

The extradition process to return him to Chickasaw County will begin as soon as the Minnesota warrant is resolved.
