CCPD: Few Clown Reports, No Concern For Public; Safety During Spook Walk

Charles City, Iowa – Charles City Police Chief Hugh Anderson stopped by to give an update on several police issues including clown sightings.

Chief Anderson said while they have received several reports of clown sightings in the area, there doesn’t seem to be any concern for area residents.

Anderson also talked about the upcoming Spook Walk, scheduled for Thursday, October 20th, and to remind citizens to be safe with so much traffic that is drawn to Charles City for the event as well as trick-or-treating, which in Charles City takes place on Monday, October 31st.

Anderson also encouraged citizens to not hesitate calling the police department if they see suspicious activity. He said “no call is too small.”

Anderson also said with the continued shootings of police around the nation, their hearts continue to be with their brothers in blue. He said his force is grateful for the ongoing support from Charles City residents.
