Candidate Forums To Be Held Tuesday and Wednesday in Charles City

Charles City, Iowa – Floyd County voters will have an opportunity to hear from local candidates who are seeking office both in Floyd County as well as at the state level.

A candidate forum will be held Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City, sponsored by the Charles City chapter of the American Association of University Women and the Charles City Chamber of Commerce.

Candidates running for county sheriff, county supervisor, state representative and state senator will be featured during the forum. Candidates for sheriff include Jeff Crooks and Bill Vetter, supervisor candidates are Linda Tjaden and Roy Schwickerath, state representative candidates are Todd Prichard and Stacie Stokes and state senator candidates are Mary Jo Wilhelm and Waylon Brown.

The forum will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A second forum will be aired on 95.9 KCHA and 1580 AM on Wednesday evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Floyd County candidates Linda Tjaden, Roy Schwickerath, Jeff Crooks and Bill Vetter will be addressed during that forum, sponsored by KCHA News.

On the ballot but not participating in either forum is Floyd County sheriff candidate Marc Lantz.
