A Volleyball On A Grunge Textured Background

The Charles City Comet volleyball team wrapped up its regular season last night with a Northeast Iowa Conference match at New Hampton.  The Comet girls were able to sweep past the Chickasaws three games to none by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-17.  With last night’s win Charles City volleyball was able to clinch the regular season NEIC title with a record of 6-0 in conference games.  The Comets finish the regular season with a record of 29-5 and will compete on Saturday at home in the Northeast Iowa Conference meet.

The Nashua-Plainfield Husky volleyball team was in Hampton last night for a quadrangular meet with the Bulldogs, North Butler and Lake Mills.  The Huskies were able to go 2-1 last night.  Nashua beat Hampton two games to none by scores of 25-17 and 26-24 and got past North Butler two games to one by scores of 26-24, 16-25 and 17-15.  Nashua fell to fourth ranked Lake Mills two games to none by scores of 25-7 and 25-10.  The Husky volleyball team is now 5-18 overall this season and they will have a match at Dunkerton tomorrow night.
