Funeral Announcement

Terry Rickart, 76, of Charles City, Iowa, formerly of Milford, Illinois and Bloomfield, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

A funeral service for Terry Rickart will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene with Pastor Daniel Flucke officiating. Following the funeral, a lunch will be held at the church. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Terry Francis Rickart was born July 15, 1940, in Watseka, Illinois to Kenneth and Edna (Hackman) Rickart. He married Brenda Quade on December 1, 1995.

Terry was a farmer, truck driver, manager of various Heinhold Hog Markets in Illinois and in Iowa, and owner of DU-ALL Janitorial Services and snow plowing business. He was also a member of the Cedar Valley Engine Club. His interests included collecting John Deere antique tractors, attending antique tractor shows and tractor rides, sports (especially the Iowa Hawkeyes), gardening and traveling.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Rickart of Charles City; children: Warren (Stephen Egts) Rickart of Washington, D.C., Sheila (Jim) Devereaux of Charles City, Brenda Judy of Charles City, Bryan (Shelly Martin) Quade of Charles City, Kevin Quade of Cascade, and Lorie Quade of Mason City; grandchildren: Melissa, Tiffany, Heather, Cody, Nicole, Samantha, Makenzi, Makayla, Iversen, Zackary, and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Kade, and Kale; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son: William “Bill” Rickart.

Memorials may also be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene.
