Fire Destroys Main Street Business In Ossian


Ossian, Iowa – A fire in Ossian, located in Winneshiek County, destroyed a two-story building Monday night.

The building, a second-hand store called Clover Station, located near Main Street in Ossian, started around 5 p.m. on Monday. The building was at least 100 years old.

Witnesses said the store owner was in the building, but was able to escape in time.

Several fire departments assisted at the scene including departments from Decorah, Fort Atkinson and Calmar.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
