Absentee ballots available for NH School bond referendum

New Hampton, Iowa – Absentee ballots are now available for residents of the New Hampton Community School district.

On the ballot is the $19.415 million dollar bond referendum. The referendum will decide if New Hampton will build a new middle school and construct an addition to the high school’s vocational agriculture and industrial technology programs.

The absentee ballots are available at the Chickasaw County Auditor’s Office.

Ballots can be cast absentee between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each weekday. Voters can also request that ballots be mailed to them.

The actual vote will be held at local polls on Tuesday,  February 7th from noon to 8 p.m.
