Martin Luther King Day Celebration & March Rescheduled To Saturday

Charles City, Iowa – Due to the ice storm, the Martin Luther King Day celebration and march has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 21st.

The event, planned by the Be The Bridge organization, will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Lion’s Field parking lot. The march will walk across the pedestrian suspension bridge and end with a program at the Columbus Club.

Participants will view the “I Have A Dream” speech along with a live acoustic performance by Charles City high school student Malik Knighton.

The essay winner of the “What is Your Dream” essay contest will also be announced.
