Clark Street Crash Causes Minor Injuries

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Police Department investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Clark Street and Hawkins Street on Thursday morning.

A black 2015 Dodge Journey driven by 45 year old Tammy Springer of Charles City was stopped on Clark Street waiting to make a left hand turn off of Clark Street on to Hawkins Street. 18 year old Amy Wolfe, also of Charles City, was driving a 2000 Chrysler Concorde when she rear ended Springer’s vehicle.

Wolfe was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance and operation without registration, which are both simple misdemeanors.

Two subjects were seen at Floyd County Medical Center for minor injuries.

Estimated damages for Wolfe’s vehicle was $3,000 and damage estimates for Springer’s vehicle was $2500.00
