Nashua-Plainfield FFA members to be honored at annual banquet April 1st

Nashua, Iowa – The Nashua–Plainfield FFA banquet will be held on Saturday, April 1st to honor the hard work and dedication FFA members have put into their organization all year. The event will be held at the Nashua-Plainfield high school cafeteria.

Andy Edson, a Nashua -Plainfield FFA alumni member and current president of the FFA Alumni, talks about the event.

Part of the evening will include a Silent Auction, with proceeds benefiting the needs of FFA members.

Edson said the FFA Alumni membership began in 2014 and has already raised over $1500 in scholarships for FFA members.  He said anyone can become an FFA Alumni member of the organization.

A 2009 graduate of Nashua – Plainfield High School, Edson said his membership in FFA really shaped the person he is today.

Edson said there are many ways in which community members can get involved in supporting the Nashua – Plainfield FFA.

The banquet is on Saturday, April 1st, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Nashua-Plainfield high school cafeteria.
