Therapy dog seminar to be held at CC library on Monday

Charles City, Iowa – A therapy dog seminar will be held on Monday at the Charles City Public Library Zastrow Room beginning at 7 p.m.

The seminar will be held by Riley Uglum of New Hampton who has trained his dog to be a therapy dog.

Uglum explained that the therapy dogs are not service dogs, but are trained to provide therapeutic services. His dog, a Goldendoodle, provides services in lots of different capacities.

Julie Taylor, director of Paws in Charles City, said the need is great for therapy dog services.

For more information about the therapy dog seminar, contact Dr. Riley Uglum at 319-240-6012 or Julie Taylor at PAWS, 641-257-0766.
