CC man charged with 3rd OWI after crashing car into pole near McDonalds

Charles City, Iowa – A Charles City man is in trouble after crashing his car into a power pole early Sunday morning.

Charles City Police were called to the 500 block of Allison Street at about 3:07am Sunday after a 2006 Pontiac G6 operated by 33 year old Mario Marth lost control while turning onto Allison Street and struck a utility pole, which then fell onto his vehicle and into the roadway.

Total damage between the pole and vehicle was estimated to be near $6,000.

Marth was arrested and charged with 3rd offense OWI, violation of a restricted license and failure to maintain control.
