Osage, Iowa – Voters in Osage on Tuesday voted against a school bond referendum.

The vote needed 60 percent approval to pass but fell short with 816 yes votes compared to 751 no votes.

The bond referendum in the amount of $9.9 million would have provided funds to remodel the middle and high school along with improvements to the elementary school.
