CC Rotary Club recognized with several awards at conference

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Rotary Club was recognized with several awards at the 2017 District 5970 Conference which was held last weekend in Cedar Falls.

The conference, hosted by District Governor Jim Coloff of Cedar Falls, celebrated the theme “Rotary Serving Humanity.”

Charles City club president Randy Heitz talked about some of the recognition received by the Charles City Rotary Club.

Heitz also said the Charles City organization received first place for the Governor’s Incentive Program for Foundation Giving.

In other recognition, past president John Ebert accepted the appointment of the Assistant District Director. In that role, Ebert will be the liason between the 2017- 2018 District Governor, who will be Charles City Rotarian Ralph Smith and members in five clubs around Northeast Iowa.

Charles City Rotarian and District Governor-elect Ralph Smith along with incoming Charles City Rotarian and president-elect Cathy Rottinghaus will be installed on June 26th.

The 2018 District Convention will be held in Charles City on June 1 – 2nd of 2018.
