USDA awards grant to Riceville Development Group for new hotel, restaurant

Riceville, Iowa – A request from the Riceville Area Development Group to assist in the building of a new hotel and restaurant at the Riceville Golf Course was recently made to the USDA.

In order to receive the grant, the organization has to match 20% of the request.

On Wednesday, representatives from Ripple Effect presented a check in the amount of $30,000 to Omnitel Communications that will help meet the requirement for the building project.

The project is projected to cost a little over a million dollars, with completion date expected by August.

He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
