Road rage leads to stabbing of Ionia man

Waterloo, Iowa – A road rage incident in Black Hawk County on Monday around 4 p.m. has police looking for a suspect who stabbed a semi-driver twice. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 63 and Dunkerton Road.

According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department, 37-year old Peter Klassen of Ionia was involved in some sort of road rage incident with a passing motorist. Klassen was driving a semi and had stopped his semi. Another motorist stopped their vehicle and both drivers exited their vehicles.

Klassen was stabbed twice before the other driver fled the scene.

Klassen was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are now looking for a 2012 Silver Kia 4 door with Minnesota license plants 153LSX.
