CC Rotary Club along with city staff install basketball hoops at Sportsmen’s Park

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City Rotary Club assisted the City of Charles City with the installment of several new basketball hoops at Sportsmen’s Park.

Rotarians Randy Heitz, Bill Feller, Paul Burnham, Ken Scheckler, Steve Diers and John Ebert assisted with the project.

Rotarian Bill Feller said it was just one more way Rotarians have given their time and effort to projects in Charles City.

Other projects recently completed by the Charles City Rotary Club include the planting of trees, and distribution of First Aid kits. Scholarships were recently awarded to several area high school seniors at Dollars for Scholars night, and a few more scholarships will be awarded on Class Night. Rotarians will assist with parking lot clean-up in several weeks.

Anyone wishing to attend a Rotary meeting may do so at their noon meeting each Monday at the Elks Lodge in Charles City. A greeter will be available at the door.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
