Iowa BIG North holding drive-in movie night tonight; Summer meals program begins Monday

Charles City, Iowa – The Charles City school year has come to an end. With that brings summer programs and changes in requirements for next school year.

Charles City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Dan Cox, says the school will be putting on the Summer Meals Program for kids with some changes to it this year.

Along with that program, the Iowa BIG North will be putting on a student led program tonight.

The theater will be at the Floyd County Fair grounds and the movie will start at 9:33 pm. Not all is fun this summer, though. Karen Landers, the Charles City school nurse, says some students need to get a new vaccination due to state law.

Summer is just starting so make sure to sign your kids up for these summer programs and visit the doctor before school starts back up.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
