New Hampton, Iowa – The Enhance Iowa Board awarded communities around Iowa with Community Attraction and Tourism grants. Four projects were chosen and New Hampton was one of those selected.
The “New Hampton Pool Project” is projected to cost $627,000. The community requested $106,445 and they got just that.
This project’s description is, “Updating the existing pool with a splashpad, toddler slide, drop slide, and anchored floatables.”
The other communities awarded with these grants were Sioux City as they try to Increase Access to Art and Education, Afton for the Union County Fair Building on Tradition Project, and Lone Tree for their Community School Wellness Center.
The Enhance Iowa Program provides financial incentives to communities that focus on recreational, cultural, educational, or entertainment facilities that enhances the quality of life in Iowa.
