Wildwood Golf Course to celebrate 100 years this weekend

Charles City, Iowa – The Wildwood Municipal Golf Course is celebrating its 100th year of existence this weekend. The land was donated back in 1912 and the golf courses superintendent, Joel Brunner, believes it has been a staple in the community since then.

Brunner says that this Saturday the golf course will be putting on some events to celebrate.

Building up to this event, the course has been doing some renovations to the course.

The celebration that is open to the public will run from 6:30-10:30 pm. There is also a silent auction and a prize to the person who dressed the most like a 1920’s person.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
