Charles City, Iowa – Two key meetings for those planning to volunteer in the beer tent during the overnight stay for RAGBRAI and/or being a food vendor for the event will be held on Wednesday, June 28th.
Volunteers planning to serve beer or check ID’s in the beverage tent during RAGBRAI are encouraged to attend a meeting about how to serve alcohol, liability issues, reading ID’s and other vital information. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 28th, both at noon and 5:30 p.m. at the Pub on The Cedar.
Also on June 28th, a question/answer session for all food vendors will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28th, 7 p.m. at the HyVee Conference Room. It will be held by Merri Cross with the Department of Inspections and Appeals and will provide an opportunity for non-profit and for-profit food vendors to find out exactly what procedures will need to take place in order to serve food during Charles City’s RAGBRAI overnight.
