Charles City, Iowa – The 11th Street Chautauqua has been awarded with a 2017 Bronze National Quality Award, the Commitment to Quality Award. These awards are given out to places who improve the lives of their residents through quality care.
The awards are presented by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living.
The NQAP has three levels to them, bronze, silver, and gold. The Charles City building was awarded bronze, but this program allows the opportunity to move up to silver and gold.
The values and criteria are judged by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. This program helps improve and achieve performance excellence. After the home accomplishes the duties of bronze level, they will be evaluated by trained examiners to see if their application is good enough to move to the next level.
The Charles City home is currently working on the silver level.
