McQuillen Place clock tower going up Thursday; street closures planned

Charles City, Iowa – Some busy streets in Charles City will be closed for part of the day Thursday as the McQuillen clock tower is hoisted into place.

The roads that will be closed to through traffic are:

  • Main Street (between Riverside Dr. and Kelly Street)
  • Clark Street (between Jackson St. and 150 feet east of Main St.)

The roads will be closed from approximately 6am to 1pm Thursday.

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, this date changes the closures will take place a different date with as much advanced notice as possible.
