Tornado Alley Severe Storm

Charles City, Iowa – The National Weather Service says strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the area late tonight into early Monday morning.

Thunderstorms are expected to fire-up across central Minnesota this afternoon where the Storm Prediction Center says a severe weather watch will likely be issued soon. These thunderstorms will continue to build and push off to the south east through tonight, possibly reaching north central and north eastern Iowa later tonight, mainly after 9pm.

As the line of storms moves through, they could bring strong winds, large hail, heavy rain and to a lesser extent, tornadoes.
