Charles City, Iowa – Political conversations tend to rile people up, but a new group that meets in Charles City uses politics to educate.
Cedar Talks is a group that started in March of this year. The group meets once a month to discuss topics involving executive action. Kate Hayden, founder of Cedar Talks, says what the group is a little more.
While this is a mostly political gathering, Hayden says that the group isn’t there to change each person’s perception on politics.
The monthly meetings are at The Pub on the Cedar and they are looking for topic recommendations for each meeting.
This month’s topic is “The Right to Insurance” and the group will meet on July 27th.
