Car Accident in Charles City Causes Thousands of Dollars in Damage

Charles City, Iowa – A two car accident on Tuesday morning caused serious damage to the vehicles involved.

55-year-old, Richard Palmersheim of Chanhassen, Minnesota, was traveling north bound on Patten Avenue when his car was hit. 65-year-old, Barbara Garden of Charles City was driving the other vehicle involved in the wreck. She was heading east bound on Salzer Street when she failed to yield on right and struck Palmersheim.

One of the drivers was checked for injuries, but nothing was reported. The total amount of damage done was $8,000.

Garden was cited with a simple misdemeanor for failing to yield to the vehicle on the right.
