Ossian, Iowa – Two Ossian men have received drug and weapons charges for events that took place in April and May of this year.
A grand jury handed out the charges in the U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids last Wednesday.
22-year-old, Kaleb Breitsprecher was charged with three counts of distribution of heroin and one count of being a drug user in possession of a firearm. The other person indicted was 24-year-old, Cole Breitsprecher and he was charged with one count of distribution of furanyl fentanyl and one count of being a drug user in possession of a firearm.
Both people charged had multiple weapons. Kaleb Breitsprecher had a Bushmaster XM-15 rifle, a Diamondback .380-caliber pistol, a Liberty .22-caliber revolver, a .22-caliber Ruger rifle, and a 12-gauge Remington shotgun.
Cole Breitsprecher had a Bushmaster XM-15 rifle, a different .22-caliber Ruger rifle, a different Remington shotgun, a Remington .45-caliber pistol, a .380-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol, a .308 Remington rifle, and a .30-30-caliber Marlin rifle.
The government is looking for forfeiture on the firearms.
