Meth Dealer Sentenced to Federal Prison

Lime Springs, Iowa – A Lime Springs man was sentenced to over 13 years in a federal prison on Monday after entering a guilty plea to distributing methamphetamine and possession of firearms by a felon on March 1st.

27-year-old, Shawn Chevchuc of Lime Springs was in possession of 20 firearms, one of those stolen, and has sold over two kilograms of meth over the last year and a half.

Chevchuc will also have a five year supervised release and he will not be eligible for parole. The felon had a couple of convictions previous to this that did not allow him to possess firearms.

Chevchuc is currently being held in Grand Marshal’s custody and will be transferred to a federal prison.
