Charles City, Iowa – Every year Charles City Schools brings in new teachers and staff to the Comet community. This year is no different as the school district will be bringing in 18 new educators.
Dan Cox, Charles City’s Superintendent, says more about the new staff members.
The new members of the school district have gone through positivity training, orientation, and got to know the community this week.
Two years ago the district only brought in three new teachers, but a lot more prospect educators have been expressing interest in the Charles City School District.
Dr. Cox also mentioned that the school board is still looking for the student member of the board. Students must be a junior or senior to apply. This position is to have a connection with the rest of the students at the school.
One final note Dr. Cox added was the vaccine that is now required for students who are entering 7th or 12th grade.
The summer has come and gone, and students will soon be back in school.
