Charles City, Iowa – Many area schools will be starting classes next week. Students will be filing into classrooms to further their education and the Charles City School District will have some new classes this year to help with that.
One of the classes will use art, math, agriculture and more to help assist students in building a tiny house. In another course, students will learn how food gets from the farm to the table in a food production class.
A handful of Charles City teachers went down to San Diego in June and collaborated with High Tech High. The teachers observed what was going on and brought their knowledge back with them. The goal of this is to better prepare students for future jobs.
