Charles City, Iowa – The Trinity United Methodist Church and the Charles City YMCA were both burglarized back in May and the people responsible were supposed to have their trial on Thursday. That was changed when their pleas shifted sides.
29-year-old Jonathan Goodman and 26-year-old Justin Gulian, both of Charles City, were arrested and each charged with two counts of 3rd degree burglary. Gulian and Goodman both pleaded not guilty at first but changed that to guilty recently.
The men will be placed on probation and will have to pay restitution, and no official sentencing date has been set.
