Winneshiek County Man Who Fought Officers Gets Trial Date

Decorah, Iowa – The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Department made an arrest on July 24th of a man who was threatening to shoot a woman and was fighting authorities.

45-year-old Jeremy Meyer of Spillville was brought to the Winneshiek County Jail where he continued to fight with deputies and injured one of them.

Meyer is facing two counts of assault on persons engaged in certain occupations and four counts of 1st degree harassment.

His trial date is set for September 27th.
