Toby Weigel, 45, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 peacefully in his sleep at home.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Toby’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2371 Foothill Avenue in Rockford, Iowa.
Toby Jay Weigel, the son of Adam and Beverly (Johnson) Weigel, was born September 19, 1971 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He grew up in Rudd, Iowa where he also attended school.
Toby enjoyed woodworking, watching the History Channel with his niece, Cassey, being outdoors, Batman, watching the Minnesota Vikings and tinkering in the garage with Fluffy Lobo. His kids meant the world to him, and he would do anything to support them (they had him wrapped around their little fingers).
Living family members include his three children: Zac Bendickson, Zoey Weigel and Zayah Weigel; siblings: Becky (Gary) Jacobsma, Margie Shindelar, Mary Lou Weigel, Deb (Rick) Martin, Randy (Michelle) Weigel and Craig (Michelle) Feuring; niece, Becky Walker; Tom Walker, Jr. (aka Fluffy Lobo); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Weigel; and brother-in-law, Charlie Shindelar.
