School Colors Flying in New Hampton for Homecoming Week

New Hampton, Iowa – There is one week every year where the school spirit is more prevalent than other weeks. New Hampton High School will be celebrating that this week.

The Chickasaws will be welcoming former students back for their homecoming week. The theme days for NHHS will be Welcome to the Jungle, Rock and Roll All Night, Paradise City, Mickey and Back in Black and Red.

The parade will be held on Thursday night at 6:30 with the king crowning right after. Melissa Nelson, teacher at NHHS, says that she wants this to be a community week.

Floats can still be entered into the parade until Thursday. There will also be a $1 donation to help pay for homecoming activities and to start a scholarship that goes to an outstanding Student Senate senior.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
