Library Fall Activities Pick Up

The Charles City Public Library just had a bunch of fall programs start up, and they have options for every age group.

Wednesday and Thursday book clubs have started up for older students. The library also has reading programs for those just starting out in school. For older preschoolers, Storytime will be held on Thursday mornings at 10:15 a.m., while younger preschoolers can attend Circle Time and this is held on Fridays at 10:15 a.m. Adults can get in on the action as well with book discussion groups.

Kim Jones, library’s director, says that a couple of authors will be coming to the library in the next couple of weeks.

McCann will speak about her latest books and will have some available for purchase on this day. Gail Kittleson is another author who will be coming to the library on Oct. 14. She will be putting on a free, memoir writing workshop.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
