New Hampton, IA – Significant events have struck the United States in the last couple of weeks with both Hurricane Harvey and Irma doing damage.
The need for blood right now is high and Mercy in New Hampton will be hosting a blood drive on Sept. 26th. Jenny Monteith, with Mercy, talks about the need for blood.
People in the past could have been told that their blood could not be used because their health history. Monteith says just how specific the process is now.
She added that both O Positive and O Negative are the most used. This event will be held at the New Hampton Community Center and the drive will be open from noon to 5:30 p.m.
