Booster Club Gets Boost from Local Businesses

Local businesses in Charles City help raise money for the Booster Club during the football season. Whether it be donating money for a sack or a touchdown, two businesses are stepping up their game for Homecoming Week.

Quality Auto Service donates $25 for every forced turnover on the season by the Comets. Steve Robel, with Quality Auto Service, says more.

Robel says the business has doubled that for the Homecoming Game, so it will be $50 for every forced turnover by the Comets. He then called out another local business to do the same.

State Bank has donated $25 for every Comet touchdown this season, but Robel challenged them to double up as well.

Money is sure to be flying on Friday night when the Comets take on the Independence Mustangs.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
