Partnership to Help Families

Charles City, Iowa – Helping kids get off on the right foot in all they do is an important thing. Education, social activity and physical activity are all important to a kid. The ISU Extension and Outreach is Partnering with Our Kids Count to help make sure kids are healthy.

Fun Family Nutrition Nights is the name of the program the two organizations are putting on. It is a nine night program that runs from Sept. 28 to Dec. 7. There is room for 10 families and the children must be 18 years of under.

This will show the families tools and tips, hands on cooking and tasting of one recipe item. The class runs from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m.

Fun Family Nutrition Nights is going to be held at the Trinity Methodist Church. If there is weather affecting the school day, the program will be cancelled for that day. To sign up, call (641) 228-1453.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his wife Vicki, daughter Brynlee and son Jaxon.
