Update: Charles City Brush Pickup set for week of Oct. 23rd

Charles City, Iowa – The date for the annual Charles City Brush Pickup has been announced.

The Charles City Street Department says they will begin collecting brush and leaves beginning on Monday October 23rd. They will make one one round through town.

You’re asked to place your brush on the parking with the cut ends facing the street. Leaves will need be raked into the street 12 to 18 inches from the curb which will help prevent storm sewers from clogging. Please do not rake leaves into the streets until the week before October 23rd. Whole trees will not be collected.

If you happen to miss the collection, you’re still able to drop them off at the Shaw Avenue Dumpsite which is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
